Sunny
Today was a very exciting day! I woke up early in the morning and helped my mom make breakfast. We made pancakes with strawberries and chocolate chips. They were so delicious! My little brother said they tasted like sunshine on a plate.
After breakfast, we went to the park with our dog, Max. The weather was perfect—blue skies and a soft breeze. We played catch and ran around until we were all tired. Max chased after a squirrel, but it climbed up a tree too quickly for him.
In the afternoon, I practiced drawing pictures of animals. I love animals, especially pandas. I think they’re super cute because they eat bamboo and look sleepy all the time. My teacher says good artists need to observe carefully, so I tried to copy how their fur looks in different lights.
Before dinner, Dad told me an interesting story about his childhood. He used to live near the ocean and would go fishing every weekend with his friends. I couldn’t believe he ever caught anything since he’s not very good at fishing now!
Dinner was spaghetti tonight. Mom made it extra cheesy, which made it even yummier. Afterward, I read a chapter from my favorite book before going to bed. It’s about a boy who discovers a hidden door in his attic that leads to another world.
I feel happy today because there were so many small moments worth remembering. Life is full of surprises, just like pancakes with chocolate chips! Goodnight!
